Art Mart opened with a full house of art lovers and motivated shoppers Friday evening. Visitors strolled among the artists’ booths, chatting with the artisans about their wares and making purchases for the upcoming holidays next month. Many favorite artists returned this year to the delight of their followers. Meanwhile, we were very pleased with so many craftspersons joining us for the first time at Art Mart. The variety of art was extensive and unique as always. There’s something for every one on your shopping list, possibly a little gift or two for yourself!
Singer-songwriter, Randy Brooks, the entertainer who wrote “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” along with Johnny Hooper, entertained a rapt audience on the Lake Level.
You still have two more days to take advantage of the Art Mart tradition. Cita’s Salsa will provide food for purchase on Saturday and Sunday. And on Sunday, local favorites, The Ackermans, will play two sets to enhance your shopping experience. Sally Ackerman will also be one of the featured artists in Art Mart.
And speaking of tradition, Art Mart is offering its silent auction again this year. Come on over and place your bids.
